Single in February? The Survival Guide

Posted on February 5, 2011

It’s February.

You know what that means-a major Hallmark holiday is approaching.

People in relationships will be getting flowers and chocolates. Restaurants everywhere will be arranging places to accomodate tables of 2. There will inevitably be someone you know or work with who will be getting engaged.  And if you’re not careful, being single in February can be one of the most bitter experiences of the year.

So I’ve decided it’s time for a shift. A paradigm shift about February for singles.

Yes, February may be a month when people are celebrating love but why would that mean that you-a beautiful, intelligent single person-should be left out of any of it? You need to celebrate love. Just in a different way than those who are currently romantically involved.

What you need is a step-by-step set of instructions that covers both how to deal with your attached friends and family (because let’s be real here, they can be pretty irritating this month), and how to give yourself plenty of self-love and self-care.

What you need is a  Singles’ Survival Guide.

I’m creating an entire guide to help you navigate the single’s scene successfully and this month, I’ll be sharing excerpts from the chapter on Surviving February. The entire guide will be available in late March but for now, stay tuned for how to get through this month. February really isn’t all that bad, if you a strategy to deal with it.
