The Best Makeover Tool Ever

Spring is on its way.  With the whole world coming back to life, you may find yourself inspired to begin anew as well. This really is just a perfect time for a makeover.

Maybe there are many things you want to change in your life. Maybe you have just a few. Whatever your plan may be, I’m going to tell you about a great tool that will consistently and infallibly help you figure out how to move towards your best life.

The wisest counselor and advisor of your best life is actually located within you. And no matter what, it will always lead you in the right direction and guide you to the choices that will help you change your life for the better.

What is the amazing, incredible tool? you may ask. The tool is your Body’s Compass.

It knows what job you should have, what friends are best for you with and yes, of course, what people you should date. All you have to do is learn how to get in touch with it. This, however, is a bit easier said than done.

That’s because our brains, our ever-chattering, socialized lizard brains, are forever trying to override any signals from our bodies that they find unacceptable.

Just started seriously dating someone who is totally the wrong fit for you? Your Body’s Compass will give you tons of messages to tell you how unhappy it is with this new partner. But your lizard brain, (which is obsessed with fears of lack), will convince you (out of fear) that this person is in fact right for you.

In order for you to get in touch with this tool, you are first going to have to learn how to silence your lizard. And the only way you are going to be able to do this, is to learn how to relax enough to hear the messages your Body Compass gives you.

The best way I know how to get in touch with my own truth is to have some silent, uninterrupted time alone. This can be as short as 10 minutes or as long as an hour. During this time, I can meditate, go for a walk outside or just sit on my porch. For me, having some time just to sit quietly and breathe with no distractions from people, places or things is an essential first step in listening to my Body’s Compass.

Before I show you how to get in touch with your Body’s Compass, you’ll need to proactively plan for an emergence of your lizard and your socialized self when you try.

Find some time in the next couple of days to get into the habit of sitting quietly with yourself and just being. Then do the Body Compass activities that will be provided for you over the next week to start transforming your life.
