Making Over Your Life, Part 1

Posted on March 21, 2011

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been discussing one of the most important tools you can use to makeover your life: Your Body’s Compass.

The Body Compass (as you have hopefully realized through your own practice) is a coaching tool that will always be personalized to your individual preferences and needs. It’s infallible and always accessible.

Once you learn to cultivate a habit of checking in with this amazing tool, you will have right there with you the knowledge you need to make the decisions and choices that will serve you. You have within you a solid and reliable tool to help you build your best life.

Before making over your life, you have to practice using the Body Compass daily. As I’ve stated in several posts, this tool takes some time to master and you will inevitably come up against some obstacles when trying to use it at first. However, with a little insight you’ll quickly able to get back on track when it goes astray.

Once you get to this point, where checking in with your Body Compass becomes a natural part of the way you evaluate people, places and situations, then and only then will you be ready to use this tool to makeover your life.

So if you’re there, if you’ve gotten to a place where you’ve mastered tuning in to the messages from your Body Compass, it’s time to get ready to start the March Makeover Madness Challenge.

What you’ll need to do now is to create a “Profile Your Life” Chart, where you list all of the relationships you participate in, all of the activities you participate in and the places you visit. (In my next post, I’ll share with you part of the chart I have my clients complete).

Then, once you have broken down all of the areas of your life into a list, you’ll use your Body Compass to rate each thing on a scale of -10 to +10, -10 being a horribly negative reading on your Body Compass and +10 being the best reading possible.

When you’ve completed your chart, you will have solid and reliable data that indicates what areas of your life are serving you and which ones are dragging you down. You can then use this information to move forward with your makeover.
