Shift Happens.

“Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?” asked Alice.

“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.

“I don’t much care where,” said Alice.

“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

“So as long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.

“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”

Shift happens. Life is constantly changing and shifting and moving us in different directions.

This month, I’d like you to examine where you honestly stand when it comes to change. Are you like Alice, hoping that someone else will tell you which way to go because you don’t have a plan of your own? Are you living passively, hoping that life’s circumstances will dictate how you’ll live (and therefore relieve you of the responsibility of making decisions?)

Or are you proactive about the changes you’d like to make in your life?  Successful people know what they want and they have a plan to get there.  They understand that change is going to happen but instead of passively standing on the sidelines of life waiting for change to happen to them, they have a set of goals and dreams that they are determined to make happen. They know change is inevitable, and they use this universal truth to their advantage.

Shift happens. How are you going to choose to deal with it?
