Getting your heart broken

…is about one of the worst things you can ever experience in a human life. (And remember, this is coming from a woman who’s had cancer). 

So take your time with a broken heart. Be good to yourself. Surround yourself with people who make you feel appreciated and loved. Don’t talk about it if you don’t want to. Or talk about it as much as you need to. 

But most importantly, remember that once you start to shift back into yourself (rather than the self + other), you will begin to feel stirrings of hope and happiness. When that happens, you’re more than ready to dissolve the story you have about your ex.
