You get what you settle for. 

When you’re not happy with the way things are going in your relationships, let the other person know what you need/expect. If nothing changes, you have two options:

1.  Move on. 

2. Lower your expectations and deal with the reality of what the other person can give you. AND, (this is the important part), find other relationships that will give you what you need instead.
