The silly, non-stop pursuit of happiness

Happiness forever is a great marketing tactic. It sells books. It sells workshops. It sells classes and sessions and drugs and a bunch of other stuff, too.

But it’s not true. It’s just not true. You’re not supposed to be happy all of the time. If you were, you would be.

Other emotions are valid, too. They are useful and appropriate and needed. So don’t believe that you’re supposed to be happy all of the time. That’s not human. That’s not real.
